Rachel, our token Philly gal, joins VFA on the Programs team as the Fellow Engagement Manager, helping to provide support, mentorship, and education to the Fellows as they navigate their two year Fellowship experience. Prior to joining VFA, Rachel received her bachelor’s degree in advertising from the S.I. Newhouse School at Syracuse University and then went on to hold several roles in the ad world while also receiving her master’s degree in international marketing. In 2012, Rachel also launched an online community for young professional women called Quarterlette.com (it was even recognized by Forbes Magazine as a top 10 website for millennial women!). While Rachel enjoyed working with her past clients on their advertising and marketing campaigns, it was her experience building and growing Quarterlette.com that opened her eyes to the world of entrepreneurship. When she learned about Venture for America, she immediately knew that she wanted to be part of the organization to support other aspiring entrepreneurs. In the few hours that Rachel has left when she’s not busy with VFA and Quarterlette, she enjoys being outdoors, skiing, taking dance classes (and recently teaching her first dance class), traveling, and browsing Petfinder for a rescue dog even though her apartment won’t permit her to own any animals.
