The Assistant to the CEO will be integrated into the Development Team and will support all aspects of fundraising. This is a great opportunity for a high-achieving entry-level hire to work alongside an entrepreneurship thought leader and the founder of a national organization.

• Look to the future so that you are always over-prepared
• Can laugh at yourself from time to time and have thick skin

• Give everything 10% more than it requires
• Work easily with diverse groups of people and exercise good judgment interpersonally
• Have a B.A./B.S. and 0-3 years of experience

What you’ll do:
• Manage Andrew’s calendar and activities, scheduling meetings and calls and keeping him appraised of what’s on the radar
• Handle travel planning and logistics for everything from speaking engagements to press events
• Support fundraising efforts by coordinating meetings and follow ups, researching foundations, and helping write grants
• Get to know and build relationships with VFA supporters
• Serve as a filter, helping handle some of the communications and tasks that can take things off Andrew’s plate
• Serve as a liaison between Andrew and the various departments at VFA, effectively balancing the needs of multiple groups of stakeholders
• Travel occasionally to VFA cities and accompany Andrew to meetings
• Write and speak with passion and purpose, projecting confidence and doing a great job of representing VFA
