Venture for America 2012 Summer Celebration

Thanks to everyone who attended the 2012 VFA Summer Celebration on Tuesday evening at the IAC HQ in New York City! It was a wildly successful night filled with VFA fellows, friends, and supporters, and even featured food and drinks from each of our five cities.

We heard from 2012 Fellow Derek Turner about what it’s like to be part of the inaugural class of fellows and Andrew Yang about VFA’s tremendous progress over the past year. The highlight of the evening was a speech from VFA’s 2012 honoree Tony Hsieh, CEO of Zappos and founder of the Downtown Project, who spoke about his plans to revitalize Downtown Las Vegas.

VFA Has Ceased Operations


Since its first cohort in 2012, Venture For America (VFA) has championed entrepreneurship, innovation, and economic growth across the nation. As of August 6, 2024, VFA has ceased its operations. While this marks the end of an era, it also provides an opportunity to reflect on the extraordinary accomplishments and lasting impact that we have achieved together.
