Venture for America, a two-year fellowship program for recent college graduates interested in entrepreneurship, on Wednesday said it is sending seven fellows to startups in Pittsburgh.

VFA has also hired Katie Grimm as its Pittsburgh director. Grimm, who has worked in Pittsburgh’s nonprofit sector for six years, most recently was operations manager at co-working campus Avenu.

VFA launched its Pittsburgh program in 2015 with support from the Hillman Foundation and the City of Pittsburgh.

The new fellows, who bring the local total to 24, are graduates of schools across the country including Yale University, Duke University and the University of Pittsburgh. They will be taking on a variety of roles at Pittsburgh companies such as Maven Machines, Loopla, TrademarkVision and Honeycomb Credit.
