Raised in Boulder Colorado, Barry chased his childhood dream of becoming a weatherman all the way to the University of Oklahoma. Upon realizing physics and calculus courses were beyond his comprehension, he joined forces with the university’s entrepreneurship program and hasn’t looked back since. A 2012 VFA Fellow alum, Barry has traveled the country working with VFA partner companies in Las Vegas (Downtown Project), Providence (Upserve) and Detroit / Oakland (Castle) in roles spanning business development, customer success, and seed investment. Having lived and worked in a number of unique startup communities across the country, he’s thrilled to share that experience with Fellows and Fellow founders as VFA’s Director of Entrepreneurship. Outside of work Barry enjoys being talked into running ultramarathons, trying to qualify for the Boston Marathon, and talking hoops with anyone who will listen.
