Elizabeth Brake

Elizabeth leads Company Partnerships for VFA and is based in Cleveland.  She studied history at Vassar College and then returned to home to North Carolina to manage a fresh produce packing and marketing business, where, among other things, she learned to make sales calls, manage inventory, and operate a forklift. After five years of operations and production management, she left for graduate school and earned a Ph.D. in 20th century American history at Duke University. After grad school she worked as a research associate at the Fuqua School of Business where she studied innovation management in large corporations and taught the history of innovation in Duke’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship program.
