Jed Cohen

Jed is a serial entrepreneur whose career has spanned multiple industries including technology, real estate, the performing arts, and not-for-profit. His early career began (at the age of eight) when he took to the stage as an actor. Jed made his Broadway debut in the Tony Award winning musical The Secret Garden and was featured as “Rod McCallister” in the hit movies Home Alone and Home Alone II: Lost in New York.
In 2009 Jed launched, one of the world’s pioneering crowdfunding platforms. As Co-Founder & Chief Operating Officer, Jed and his team empowered independent artists, entrepreneurs, and scientists to raise millions of dollars to complete passion-projects. RocketHub was acquired in 2015.
At VFA, Jed leads the Talent, Programs, and Operations Teams, and it broadly responsible for people management across the organization. Jed grew up outside of Detroit, MI, is a graduate of Harvard University, where he earned his degree in Astronomy & Astrophysics, and lives just outside New York City with his wife Kate, son Zeke, and little dog Ethel.
